Why BELERIE RAPHAELLE? Ok, RAPHAELLE is actually a male's name. I first saw this name while reading a book or article on Raphaelle Peale. Anyways, he is the first professional American painter on still-life. Ok, enough of him. Somehow, I liked this name because I thought it was more suitable for a girl! BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!



As for BELERIE, I forgot how this name derive from (sounds like a pun of Valerie). So, yup, tada! I put them together!



Who says I must have it in pur-fact ingrish? I like Belerie instead of Valerie.



Today's the second last day of my work in KK.Like finally! I was practically slacking whenever I can. Like sitting on the covered bowl for 10 - 15 minutes each time when I visited the loo. Even better still, I can even sleep in there. Seriously speaking, KK's toilet stinks like hell. What I meant was on the way to the loo, not in the loo. Otherwise, how would I be able to sit, sleep and listen to my MP3 in there for 1 hour plus today? Haha.



Anyways, so pai seh today! I was told by a customer in front of a long queue that :



'eh, your products leh, you dunno about it ar?'



I was like omg but she was kind enough to tell me in a soft tone.



Feel like erm, banging myself against the wall? Maybe. HAHA.



Ok. I shall go bang my head on the wall now. BYE BYE.

I had a great dinner at PastaMania. So full and yet the same time very fufilling time spent. Thanks to the chubb and lesvan. I have been really copping myself at home. After which, we or rather I did some shopping at Cold Storage.


I am going to pamper myself with loads of dramas and movies tomorrow. I have missed too much of great things. Haha.


I still feel safer with friends that treasure me because I don't want to be left hanging in the air anymore. Thanks chubb and lesvan once again! =)))))


On top of that, I would like to add on that we Singaporeans are just way too lucky. We have the PAP and we are just away from the tectonic plates. You see, plate boundaries are commonly associated with geological events such as earthquakes and the creation of topographic features like mountains and volcanoes. So, imagine when tectonic plates rubbed against each other. Ya, it causes an earthquake.


Therefore, The majority of the world's active volcanoes occur along plate boundaries, with the Pacific Plate's Ring Of Fire being most active and most widely known. Some examples would be Indonesia and Philippines.


This time round, its the Sichuan or rather the Wenchuan earthquake. What was most heart-wrenching was the innocent children. This is said to be one of the worst earthquake in China after the 1976 Tangshan earthquake. Countries like India and Russia (and many more) felt the tremors.


What I have learnt this time round is not how fragile life is but the love that the parents have for their child especially in China where they have the one-child policy. Time is needed to heal their loss and soul. May god bless and take care. There is nothing much I can do based on my capabilities but if anyone comes to me for any donation for the earthquake victims, I'll definitely donate. =D

I left my adaptor in school!! Isn't that great? I was like so scatter-brained and i can't do my powerpooint and needless to say, i can't prepare my speech for monday's presentation!! BIG BOOOO!

My dad asked me a question. He asked, why does a wedding band has to be on the fourth finger. Thus, I yahoo-ed it and found something interesting. However, i read it in an email before. Anyways, I'll just share it down here. Here it goes.


This is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese Legend...

• Thumb represents your parents.

• Second (Index) finger represents your siblings.

• Middle finger represents yourself.

• Fourth (Ring) finger represents your life partner.

• Last (Little) finger represents your children.

1.Open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together - back to back. As shown below.





2. Open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip.




3. Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents). They will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.



4.Join your thumbs as before and separate your index fingers (representing siblings). They will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.



5. Now join the Index fingers and separate your little fingers (representing your children). They will open too, because your children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.



6. Finally, join your little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse).












Interesting right? Another simple reason was that the Egyptians believed that a vein in the fourth finger was connected to the heart somehow. The wedding band was also put on the left hand as the left hand is rarely used as compared to the right hand. Thus, protecting the wedding band.
